Fania Oz-Salzberger

Prof. Fania Oz-Salzberger,  Universität Haifa School of Law and Center

Fania Oz-Salzberger was born in 1960 in Kibbutz Hulda. She studied history and philosophy at the Tel Aviv University. She holds a PhD in "Scottish and German Enlightments" from the University of Oxford. Fania was Senior Scholar at the Lincoln College Oxford and Hornik Junior Research Fellow at the Wolfson College Oxford. Since 1993 she teaches at the University of Haifa and became Associate Professor in 2009. Since 2003 she is head of the Posen Research Forum for Jewish European and Israeli Political Thought at the University of Haifa. Fania is a successful publisher. Among others, she published in the Newsweek, International Herald Tribune, The Wall Street Journals, Le Figaro, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Ha´retz articles about current political and cultural issues. She is member of the Israel Democracy Institute public council and Participant in the European Commission's 'Intercultural Dialogue' discussions between Europe and the Middle East.
