Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Israel
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES)
was established in 1925 and is the oldest political foundation in Germany named after the first german democratic president. The work of the foundation is based on the values of social democracy: freedom, justice and solidarity. Active in Israel since the late 1950s, the FES opened its own office in 1978. Since then, it has been committed to strengthening German-Israeli and European-Israeli relations, keeping the remembrance of the Shoah, promoting social justice and social democracy. As a "think and do tank" the FES closely collaborate with local partner organizations to jointly develop projects in the spirit of democracy, gender justice and an inclusive shared society.
