Jeffrey Laurenti, Former Director of Policy Studies at United Nations Association of the U.S. & Former Director of Foreign Policy Programs at The Century Foundation

Jeffrey Laurenti holds a bachelor's degre magna cum laude in government from Harvard University, and a master's degree in public affairs from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. From 1978 to 1984 he was executive director of the New Jersey Senate. He ran for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1986, and besides has advised several presidential campaigns. Until 2003 Jeffrey Laurenti was executive director of policy studies at the United Nations Association of the United States, and deputy director of the association's United Nations and Global Security Initiative. Following this, he had been serving on the association's Board of Directors for seven years. Jeffrey Laurenti last held the position of a senior research fellow on international affairs and the director of foreign policy programs at the US think tank "The Century Foundation". Jeffrey Laurenti is the author of numerous monographs on topics including international peace and security, terrorism, U.N. reform or international law and justice. His articles and analysis have been published by the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the BBC, France24, AlJazeera, Russia Today and many more. Furthermore, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
