Prof. Ireneusz Pawel Karolewski, Wroclaw University

Prof. Ireneusz Pawel Karolewski holds a B.A. and M.A. in Politics and Government from the University of Potsdam, German, where he also did his PhD with the thesis "The future Shape of Europe: Functionalism or federalism? The case study of the Eastern Enlargement of the European Union". He served as assistant professor at the Chair of Political Theory, University of Potsdam from 1999 till 2008, when he habilitated with the thesis "Citizenship and collective identity in Europe" and became associate professor at the University of Potsdam. Since 2009 he is Professor and Chair of Politics in the Willy Brandt Center for German and European Studies at the University Wroclaw.
